Temperment Testing
Dogs are social animals by nature, but some may not acclimate well to a larger group setting. Our free temperment testing will allow us to determine who is a good fit for open play and who would be better suited for one-on-one activity. We encourage you to leave your dog for a full day of fun with their new friends giving them ample time to acclimate to the environment and our staff.
Blue Pass
This trial run allows your pet to “Test Drive” The Blue Doghouse and gives us time to get to know your pet by observing them in a group and on an individual basis. Many times, your pet's only opportunity to leave the comfort of home, especially in their formative first few months of life, are trips to the veterinarian’s office, and we can all relate to what it feels like going to the doctor. With that in mind, our goal is that they come to see that this is a place they enjoy and want to go to often.
TLC & Care
At The Blue Doghouse, we understand that a little TLC goes a long way. Our team of dog lovers make sure to provide that extra bit of love and care to keep your pup feeling happy and secure at no additional costs. We also require Vaccination Records before admittance to make sure everyone stays healthy and happy.
Stay-Overs
Need a place to keep your pup while you're away? The Blue Doghouse is not a traditional boarding facility, however, we will offer stay-overs to regular daycare customers, and spots will be limited. All Stay-Over guests must attend at least three days of daycare before their first reservation. This policy allows your dog to become familiar with the facility and staff, and helps to ensure their safety and comfort during their stay.
Meet the owners
Leah Ferguson has been married to husband Steve for 20+ years and both are "homegrown" from the Baytown/Mont Belvieu areas. Between them they have three sons, Blake, Cade and Trevor. They also have three fur babies, Sarg, a Miniature Poodle and Ginny & Georgia, both Chihuahua mixes.
Leah is a true animal-lover and has life-long experience working with dogs. Her love and passion for improving and enhancing animals lives has been her driving motivation to provide an exclusive facility where dogs can engage their natural pack-socialization. In addition, her genuine love for both animals and people has cultivated a strong dedication to providing excellent customer service. Through her deep understanding and connection to the community, Leah is confident that owning a prestigious doggie daycare in the greater Baytown area is the ideal venture for her.
